Zuko (season 1) Amigurumi by musogato Zuko (season 1) Amigurumi by musogato
A replacement prize for one of the winners from the 2011 Avatar Pumpkin Carving Competition; she asked for Season 1 Zuko. :)

This crochet doll is a smaller version of my improved Korra design, and stands at 5.5 inches tall. I used a Closed Herringbone stitch to embroider his scar, and had a lot of fun figuring out how to make his uniform details including the "horns" on the tips of his shoes. I think I like this smaller size better (it's certainly easier to mail), so I think I'll keep working in this size.

wow!! The clothes are very well done! And this brushed hair is very different.
I like Zuko very much ^^ I was really happy with the end of the cartoon, seeing how his story ended.

Thank you! I was worried the brushed hair wouldn't turn out okay, but leaving it as just yarn hair didn't capture the poofy-ness like in the cartoon. ^^;

Yeah, I'm happy with how Zuko's story arc ended too. It was tough at times, especially early season 3, but it all ended well. :)

I think the hair turned out great! You are right, leaving just yarn would be kind of weird on this doll.
